Prof. Dr. Tanja von Braunmühl is married and has a son.

Prof. Dr. Tanja von Braunmühl has more than 18 years of clinical experience. She covers the entire spectrum of general dermatology with a special focus on the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.

After studying medicine in Kiel and research/internships in the USA, Australia and Switzerland, she worked for two years as a physician assistant at the University Hospital in Zurich. In addition, she worked for 16 years at the Department of Dermatology and Allergology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and the City Hospital of Munich, first as a physician assistant, later as a specialist, and since 2014 as a senior physician.

In 2013, she defended her thesis on «Non-invasive methods for the diagnosis of skin tumors» and in 2018 she was appointed as a professor. She has an additional specialization in the area of «drug therapy of cancerous neoplasms».

Prof. Dr. Tanja von Braunmühl has published more than 50 publications in national and international journals and has written numerous book contributions on the topic «Non-invasive diagnosis of skin cancer». She has received various scholarships and prizes for her work. She is currently working as a senior physician in a private outpatient department, the private Department of Dermatology and Allergology of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and the City Hospital Munich.
