Gunter Rauch

Günter Rauch received his basic medical education at the world’s leading universities in Erlangen, Nuremberg (Germany) and Yale, New Haven (USA). In 1985, Dr. Rauch graduated from the medical university and successfully passed the required examinations. After that, Dr. Günther Rauch worked at the Heart Center of the University of Erlangen for one year. At the end of his residency, Dr. Günter Rauch completed his final certification as a specialist.

Then the professor spent a year in various internships in leading clinics and universities of the world: Beth Hospital (Israel), Harvard University (Boston, USA) and others. After the internship, from 1987 to 1995, the professor worked at the Munich University Clinic, gaining vast experience in the treatment and diagnosis of various vascular diseases. In 1992, Dr. Rauch became a specialist in internal medicine and was also trained in fluoroscopy as well as catheter angiography and other methods of vascular medicine. Günter Rauch combined the knowledge and experience gained into his PhD work and defended his work at the University of Munich in 1992.

The writing of the paper determined the further direction of the doctor’s medical activity. For several years Günter Rauch worked exclusively in vascular medicine and angiology. His hard work allowed him to become a senior physician at the Department of Angiology at the Munich University Hospital. Günter Rauch worked in this position for two years until 1997. After that, Günther Rauch, MD, worked for three years in the Department of Vascular Medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center at Tufts University in Boston (USA). At the same time, Dr. Rauch was awarded the title of Professor at the University of Munich in 1998. To further his medical practice, Dr. Rauch received additional training in phlebology and diabetology in 1999. After returning to Germany, Dr. Rauch became an employee of the Munich Freiheit Vascular Center, where he has been working for more than 15 years. In addition to his clinical activities, the doctor has written a huge number of scientific articles and monographs, and also conducts various seminars with residents and students. In addition, he is a member of many global communities and participates in various international conferences, passing on experience and gaining new knowledge.
