Facial implants allow you to correct the shape of your face in the least invasive way possible.

A harmonious face with pronounced cheekbones and chin is one of the ideals of beauty in modern society.

The chin characterizes our face and creates an optical balance. Expressed cheekbones give youthfulness and freshness to the face.

With age there is a change in the position of fatty tissue, as well as a decrease in the bony formations of the face, which leads to a flattening of the cheekbones and chin area, sagging cheeks, deepening of folds. The face looks tired.

In order to improve and refresh the appearance of treatment in Germany, facial implants are used to make cheekbones, chin or lower jaw more pronounced, to correct flat or sunken cheeks.

PRECAUTIONS

Facial implants are placed in cases of congenital or acquired defects such as:

Depending on the size, there are 4,5,6 mm implants as well as customized implants.

SURGICAL PREPARATION

At your pre-operative consultation, the doctor will gather detailed information about your medical condition and make individualized recommendations, which may include the following items:

Eliminate smoking 6 weeks before surgery.

Avoid taking aspirin, certain anti-inflammatory and herbal medications that may increase bleeding.

Regardless of the type of procedure, increase hydration before and after surgery.

IMPLANT SURGERIES

The procedure of placing maxillofacial implants is performed under both local and general anesthesia. The method is chosen by the doctor, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient.

The duration of the operation is 30-50 minutes.

CHEEK IMPLANTS

Incisions are made on the inside of the cheeks, then a pocket is formed for the implant. The implant is attached to the cheek muscles with sutures.

CHIN IMPLANTS

The incision is made on the inside of the cheek or under the lower lip. The implant is fixed depending on the material from which it is made. Implants made of the patient’s own bone are fixed with metal plates. Synthetic implants are not fixed.

  • Complications after anesthesia.
  • Traumatization of deep nerves, arteries or muscles.
  • Development of allergic reactions to suture or dressing material, drugs used.
