The orthopedic center performs surgical interventions of any level of complexity — from arthroscopy and prosthetics of various joints to spine surgery, joint surgery and maxillofacial surgery. In addition, the clinic has a department of general medicine where various pathologies of internal organs are diagnosed and treated.

Feature of the ATOS Orthopedic Center: it has top-notch specialists in hand and elbow surgery.

The department operates under the direction of Dr. Gregor Blom. Its activities are focused on diagnostic methods and preventive medicine. Dr. Blom uses modern methods in the treatment of headaches, joint pain, back pain, and successfully corrects insomnia, tinnitus, and various allergies. In addition, he treats post-operative nausea and vomiting, and more.

The center is designed to accept both outpatients and inpatients.

In addition, the orthopedic center is equipped with advanced technology, which has allowed us to open a radiology department, which is an integral part in diagnosing and determining treatment tactics.

Additionally

For treatment and rehabilitation after sports injuries, the center has a sports traumatology department. Many world-class hockey players have been treated by the center’s specialists: Milan Giurzina, Leonard Pferdel and others.

Dr. Rembeck is the head of the department of sports traumatology. The doctor has an excellent reputation in the field of knee surgery and sports traumatology. For about 20 years he worked as a physician for the German league soccer federation and as coordinator of the orthopedic service. In addition, he worked as team doctor in charge of the Davis Cup team and as part of the operating team for the German Ski Federation teams.

During surgical interventions, patients are treated by excellent anesthesiologists and intensive care specialists who perform preliminary examinations on a par with the main specialists, as well as at the initial stage in the postoperative period. Operations are performed under general anesthesia and local anesthesia. The choice of anesthesia method is determined by the specialists of the center, and the patient’s wish is necessarily taken into account. The head of the department is Klaus Kratser, an anesthesiologist-anesthesiologist-animatologist with more than 20 years of experience. His main task during surgery is to ensure the safety of the patient through constant comprehensive monitoring and the use of the latest generation of drugs.

The staff of the Department of Anesthesiology is highly qualified based on years of experience and continuous training.

Given the large percentage of various deformations of the facial skeleton due to trauma, the center has opened a department of plastic and aesthetic surgery.

The department is headed by Prof. Charlotte Holm Mulbower, M.D., a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery. The department allows you to combine the performance of complex surgical interventions with the atmosphere of staying in a 5-star hotel. The goal of plastic surgery of the Orthopedic Center is to obtain the best medical and aesthetic result with the least risk. Taking into account years of experience, the specialists of the department make an individualized treatment plan that is adapted to the personality, ideas and expectations of each patient of the clinic. At the same time, the specialists reject unrealistic wishes or technically inexpedient measures with high risk and low chances of success.

For various spinal pathologies, the problem is solved by Dr. Armin Helmbrcht, who is the head of the Department of Spinal Neurosurgery. His main area of activity is to perform minimally invasive surgeries using a trocar. He has been able to reduce access to the cervical spine, which is often impossible due to poor visibility of the surgical field. At the same time, his patients recover from the operation much faster and the incidence of neck pain in the postoperative period is also quite low compared to the classic version of the operation.

In addition to the cervical spine, Dr. Armin Helmbrtch and his students also apply this technique to the thoracic and lumbar spine. As a teacher, Dr. Helmbrtch regularly speaks at various international conferences and lectures on new trends in neurosurgery. He endeavors to use this technique in the majority of patients, weighing the risks against the success of the surgery.

The ATOS Clinic has a rehabilitation and physiotherapy department under the direction of Dr. Andrew van Broekoven. All members of the department have been trained as physiotherapists and rehabilitation therapists in Germany and other countries. Andrew van Broekoven also specialized in manual therapy and studied new treatment methods such as visceral and craniosacral therapy. In addition, Dr. Broekoven is a lecturer at the Bernd Blindow School of Chiropractors. Since 2004, he has been working as chair of the Department of Physical Therapy and Manual Therapy in the rehabilitation of spinal pathology. In 2005 he founded Spine Art, a private practice for physiotherapy and osteopathic manual therapy. His team consists of trained therapists who are internationally experienced and offer a wide range of treatments. In addition to conservative and rehabilitative physiotherapy, the specialists are involved in the post-operative care of patients using physiotherapy techniques at the ATOS Clinic.

A special feature of the clinic is the cooperation of doctors with each other and with other centers when difficult situations arise.

For treatment or rehabilitation of various pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, the ATOS Clinic is the best option.
