Liposaxation of the legs

Slender legs have always been the standard of beauty. But, unfortunately, not all women can boast of slender legs. It is possible to correct excessive volumes in the area of thighs, knees or shins thanks to liposuction of legs. Leg liposuction is a surgical technique aimed at eliminating fat deposits in the thighs, knees and shins.

TYPES OF LIPOSUCTION

  • Vacuum.
  • Water jet.
  • Ultrasonic.
  • Acoustic.
  • Tumescent.
  • Laser.
  • Radiofrequency.

VACUUM LIPOSUCTION OF THE LEGS

This variant of liposuction surgery involves destroying fat cells with a cannula and evacuating them with a vacuum.

LASER LIPOSUCTION IN GERMANY

It is used on areas with small fat deposits. It involves the use of a special cannula that produces laser radiation. The laser destroys fat cells and removes them.

WATER JET LIPOSUCTION

This involves destroying fat cells with Klein’s aqueous solution. The pressure of the liquid jet washes out the fat structures without damaging vessels and nerves.

This operation is performed during further lipofilling, as most fat cells remain undestroyed and viable.

ULTRASONIC LIPOSUCTION

It is based on the effect of «cavitation», carried out with a special tip — sonotrode. The principle of ultrasonic liposuction of the abdomen is the destruction and emulsification of fat cells, which, in turn, leads to a decrease in the suction force of the aspirator tube, and reduces the risk of damage to the neurovascular trunks.

An additional benefit of ultrasonic liposuction is the stimulation of skin contraction.

ACOUSTIC LEG LIPOSUCTION

The technique is based on the use of vibration of the cannula in three directions: forward-backward, right-left and rotation, which destroys the fat lobules while preserving the fat cells. This method is suitable for liposuction in combination with lipofilling.

RADIOFREQUENCY LIPOSUCTION

The use of radiofrequency to destroy fat deposits helps stimulate skin contraction, but given the diameter of the diverting needle is 0.2 mm, this method can be used on areas with small fat deposits.

TUMESCENT LIPOSUCTION

In this method of liposuction before the operation is carried out infiltration of adipose tissue with Klein’s solution, which promotes swelling of fat cells and spasm of arterioles.

The composition of Klein’s solution includes saline solution and anesthetics. It is used in a 1:1 or 1:3 ratio to adipose tissue. The inclusion of anesthetics in the composition allows not to resort to the use of additional methods of anesthesia, but increases the risk of hemodynamic complications and allergic reactions.

INDICATIONS FOR LEG LIPOSUCTION

  • Fatty deposits on the outer surface of the thighs.
  • Fat accumulation on the inner thighs.
  • Fat accumulation in the area above the knees.
  • Massive calves.
  • Fat accumulation in the ankle area.

SURGICAL PREPARATION

Before liposuction of the legs, a preliminary consultation with a surgeon is necessary. The purpose of this consultation is to identify contraindications, determine the scope of the operation and the method of liposuction. In order to avoid complications during the operation, as well as in the recovery period, it is necessary to inform the surgeon all the diseases you have and allergic reactions.

If you have no contraindications to surgical treatment, the surgeon will prescribe the necessary examination, and give recommendations on preparation for surgery.

Minimal examinations required for liposuction:

  • General blood test.
  • A general urinalysis.
  • Biochemical blood test, including sugar levels.
  • Blood tests for hepatitis and HIV infection.
  • Analysis of the blood coagulation system.
  • ECG.

Recommendations to be followed before surgery:

  • Smoking cessation for 4-6 weeks.
  • No alcohol for 2 weeks prior to surgery.
  • Discontinuation of anticoagulants unless prescribed for vital signs.

OPERATION

The leg liposuction procedure is performed under local anesthesia, but can be performed under general anesthesia if necessary or if you wish.

Small incisions are made in the marked area to insert cannulas, and the procedure is performed to break down and suction out the fat deposits.

The duration of the procedure is usually about 1-2 hours.

RECOVERY PERIOD

Swelling and bruising persist for 5-7 days after surgery. The final result is evaluated after 2-3 months.

Recommendations in the postoperative period are aimed at the prevention of complications, as well as consolidation and improvement of the obtained result.

  • Wearing compression underwear for 6 weeks after surgery.
  • Exclude visiting baths, saunas, solarium for 4-5 weeks.
  • Exclude physical activity for 4 weeks.
  • A course of manual or apparatus massage.
