Arnold Trupka

Dr. Arnold Trupka received his medical degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich in 1982. His excellent results allowed him to take additional training at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, while still in training. In January 1989, he passed the commission for advanced training of graduates of foreign medical schools. From 1989 to 1995 he completed an internship and became a specialist assistant in surgery at the Innerstadt Clinic, Munich University Hospital under the direction of Prof. Dr. L. Schweiber, MD.

In 1995, after gaining considerable clinical and scientific experience, Prof. Arnold Trupka defended his thesis on «The diagnostic and prognostic value of individual clinical and biochemical parameters in post-traumatic respiratory diseases». At the same time, he obtained a certificate as a surgeon, which allowed him to continue clinical work with patients independently. A year of work gave the doctor a wealth of clinical experience, in view of which, he was appointed as the senior doctor of the clinic. He consulted on the treatment of patients with endocrine surgical pathology in collaboration with the Department of Endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine. From 1995 to 1996, Dr. Trupka worked as an emergency surgeon at the downtown clinic. He treated and diagnosed patients after accidents and practiced abdominal surgery. In 1999, he was certified as a surgeon in visceral pathology.

Since 2002, Dr. Trupka has been working as chief physician at the Starnberg Surgical Clinic, the Ludwig-Maximilians Academic Teaching Hospital of the University of Munich.
